Margot Parmenter is a critic and nonfiction writer.

Her essay “Amongst Reasonable Men” was selected by Melissa Febos as the winner of the 2020 Sewanee Review Nonfiction contest and named as a Notable Essay of 2021 by the Best American Essays anthology. Her work has also appeared in The Rumpus, Into the Void, and Savannah Magazine.

She holds an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design, a BCL from Oxford, a JD from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, and a BA from the University of Chicago.
